As we get into the thick of this year, we're excited for an upcoming trip. We’re heading south to the Hearth, Patio, and Barbecue Expo 2023!
The largest showcase of its kind in North America, the expo features the latest innovations and technology from the backyard to the fireplace, as well as opportunities to network and learn.
Overview: Hearth, Patio, and Barbecue Expo 2023
This year's HPB Expo is slated from March 11-13 at the Kentucky Expo Center, Louisville, KY. It's expected to welcome 4,000+ attendees. More than 250 exhibitors representing leading hearth, patio, and barbecue manufacturers and suppliers are slated to attend. They'll feature a wide variety of products and innovations, such as:
- Home heating solutions
- Grills and grilling accessories
- Casual patio furniture
- All-weather entertainment
- Landscaping
- & much more
Sue Hawkes, the CEO of YESS!, will deliver the expo's keynote address, "Don't Let Your Business Run You!" Her talk is slated from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., March 11 .
In addition to networking opportunities and educational seminars, the expo will have plenty of events to enjoy. We're particularly looking forward to the Fire it Up Block Party and the Attendees Choice Awards (more on that later).
What We'll Be Up To at the HBPExpo 2023
The HBPExpo is one of our favorite events, and we're hoping to see you there.
We'll be at booth 1307, located near the exit to the outdoor burn area. Members of our team attending include:

At our booth, we'll have a number of products on display.
We're particularly excited to showcase our new TG Series Grill. The expo will be the first public appearance of the newest member of our Smokin' Ugly family.
A portable charcoal grill, the TG is designed to go wherever you are -- from the tailgate to the trail and everywhere in between. Made from stainless steel and easily assembled, the TG can be quickly converted from a grill to a griddle and even a pizza oven.
Remember the Attendees Choice Awards we mentioned? We'll be entering the TG in it. The grill will also be on display in the New Product Pavillion, where expo-goers can cast votes for the best new products for hearth and outdoor living. You should absolutely check out the TG there ... no pressure. (But seriously, there are going to be a lot of awesome new products and innovations in the pavilion and we're excited to see what our fellow exhibitors enter.)
Alongside our variety of Smokin’ Ugly products, we'll be debuting two new smoker accessories for the Smokin' Ugly drum smoker: a side shelf kit and a wheel kit. The pair of accessories bring upgraded functionality to the Smokin' Ugly.
We'll also be showcasing our Vectis Pivot -- a motion control solution that provides a counterbalance hinge alternative. Affixed to a lighter-weight lid (such as, say, one for a grill) the Pivot uses friction to give you absolute control over the cover and its position. You're able to set a lid in a position and not worry about it crashing down.
